The Academy of Fine Arts and Communication integrates academics with the intensive study of music, movement, and media production. The pathways in this academy will provide an environment for learning and creating, which will develop in the individual student the knowledge, skills and commitment necessary to work as an artist in society. Students in this academy will be encouraged to experiment, cross artistic boundaries, and blend processes as well as engage in the history and traditions of the arts. Students will develop their technical skills through inquiry, innovation, and invention. The Academy of Fine Arts and Communication cultivates and celebrates diversity in educating artists for the future. Through rehearsals, performance opportunities, real-world projects, daily instruction, and community partnerships, students will become masters of their craft and contribute to our culture with creativity and intelligence.
